SDCC, in partnership with DNG New Homes, is delighted to present 60 brand-new, A-rated homes available through the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme, in accordance with the Affordable Housing Act 2021 and associated Affordable Housing Regulations.
Your New Home at Canal Bank
The 60 new homes at Canal Bank are being offered to new purchasers under the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme.
Under the scheme, SDCC is making new homes available to eligible applicants, who are seeking to purchase a newly built home, but require additional funding to bridge the gap between their mortgage and deposit and the cost of the home.
In return, SDCC will take a percentage equity share (share of the ownership) in the Affordable Purchase home. The council’s equity share will be equal to the difference between the open market value of the property and the affordable price paid by the purchaser.
